Life After Injury or Surgery
Recovering from an injury or surgery takes patience and the right plan. Our coaches rebuild strength and range of motion around bad knees, backs, hips and shoulders, step by step.
Many members come to us after finishing physical therapy, when they are ready to keep getting stronger. We follow any guidance from your doctor or physical therapist.
Safe Haven Fitness is not a physical therapy clinic, and our coaches do not diagnose or treat injuries. We pick up where therapy leaves off, with coached strength training that respects your limits.
Stairs, squats and getting up from a chair.
Bending, lifting and walking further.
Reaching overhead and carrying with ease.
How It Works
We start by understanding your injury and any medical guidance, then build slowly from there.
Step 1
Talk through your injury, surgery and goals. Bring any notes from your doctor or PT.
Step 2
A gentle assessment shows your current strength, range and what to avoid.
Step 3
We build a program around your injury and any restrictions you’ve been given.
Step 4
Small, steady increases in load and range, adjusted every session.
Training Safely
Rebuilding after an injury is about steady progress, not pushing through pain.
01
Your first sessions match your current strength and range, not a template.
02
Exercises are chosen and adjusted to avoid aggravating the injured area.
03
Load and difficulty increase in small steps as your body adapts.
04
We build around any restrictions from your doctor or physical therapist.
