What Is Small Group Training

Personal Coaching With the Energy of a Small Group

Small group training at Safe Haven Fitness pairs you with a coach and a few other members in a focused, 30-minute session. You are not following a one-size-fits-all class. You follow your own plan, and your coach adjusts every exercise to your strength, mobility and any injuries.

The group keeps sessions upbeat and keeps you accountable. The small size keeps the coaching personal, so your coach can correct your form, swap a movement that bothers a joint and progress you when you are ready.

How It Works

How Small Group Training Works

Getting started is simple. We learn about you first, then build a plan you can follow with confidence.

  1. Step 1

    Free Strategy Session

Meet a coach and talk through your goals, health history and any injuries.

  2. Step 2

    Movement Check

A simple, gentle assessment shows us how you move and where to start.

  3. Step 3

    Your Personal Plan

We build a program around your body, goals and weekly schedule.

  4. Step 4

    Train and Progress

Train two or three times a week. Your coach tracks progress and adjusts as you get stronger.

How many people are in a small group session?

+

Groups are kept small on purpose, so your coach can watch and correct every member. Ask about current group sizes and session times during your free strategy session.

Is small group training good for beginners?

+

Yes. Most of our members start as beginners or after years away from exercise. Your coach starts you at the right level and progresses you gradually.

What if I have bad knees, a sore back or an old injury?

+

Tell your coach at your strategy session. Every exercise can be adjusted or swapped so you can train around sore joints. For more support, see our injury recovery training.

How often should I come to small group training?

+

Most members train two or three times a week. That gives your body time to recover between sessions. Your coach will recommend a schedule that fits your goals and calendar.

What is the difference between small group and semi-private training?

+

Small group sessions include a few members per coach. Semi-private training has just one or two others, so you get more coaching time. Your coach can help you choose.

How do I get started?

+

Book a free strategy session. You’ll meet a coach, do a simple movement check and leave with a clear plan. There’s no cost and no obligation.
